It came from Costco of all places and was about $200 I think. The fretboard has a nice feel, the frets are smooth and the intonation is good. The sound quality is surprisingly nice and warm on the low end and plenty bright on the high strings, and has decent sustain. But most importantly, go to music stores and play the guitars, all of them if necessary. Get a feel for what you can get for the money and what you like the sound and feel of in your price range. Unless you already know how to play a guitar pretty well, I suggest you don't spend more than a few hundred bux. Treat yourself to the nice one later as a reward for your effort. Just don't order one without playing it first.....to me it's better to go to a reputable guitar store and play them and then decide !!!!!!! Price doesn't always make the best guitar, I bought one for $1500.00 and took it back after three weeks, there was something about the sound that I didn't like....I got another one for half that price and liked it a lot better...so you never know.
