one that has strings, and is made out of wood...

seriously dude... a 10 year old shouldn't start out with anything special...kids at that age change their minds all the time..

when a couple years passes, and you see that she can play some songs and is really interested and has even passed up friends for guitar playing lol then you know you can buy her a REAL guitar

I would suggest a First Act guitar until you know she is going to stick with it.

Estaban guitars are crap, seriously. They put on a good little hype show on QVC but do not buy one. Below is a decent guitar for a good price. Anything less than that and you're talking a toy from Wal*MArt which in her case may be fine. Personally if you're not sure she is serious try to find a used one for 50 bucks on craigslist.
