What is a good Acoustic Guitar for a 10 year old to start on?

My niece wants a Acoustic Guitar and she is 10. It might be something she uses once or twice so i am a small frightened to really spend a lot of money on it. Any recommendations on excellent guitars for 10 year olds?

Estaban guitars are crap, seriously. They place on a excellent small hype show on QVC but do not buy one. Below is a decent guitar for a excellent price. Anything less than that and you’re talking a toy from Wal*MArt which in her case may be fine. Personally if you’re not sure she is serious try to find a used one for 50 bucks on craigslist.

I would suggest a First Act guitar until you know she is going to stick with it.

one that has strings, and is made out of wood…

seriously dude… a 10 year ancient shouldn’t start out with anything special…kids at that age change their minds all the time..

when a couple years passes, and you see that she can play some songs and is really interested and has even passed up friends for guitar playing lol then you know you can buy her a REAL guitar
