I have heard that you have to play on acoustic guitar first and then go on to an electric guitar.But i really want to play on a electric guitar because i like the sound of it more.I am plotting on taking lessons so i wont be teaching myself.So is it going to be very hard for me to play on a electric guitar because i have never played on a acoustic??

I want to buy an electric guitar, but I already have a bass. I really really want to play electric guitar because I listen to metal and stuff and there are more sounds and stuff on electric guitar, but I’m worried my parents are going to reckon I’m quitting bass guitar. I want to play both, and electric guitar would me more for me. Don’t get me incorrect, I like bass, but I just started on it because it’s simpler. What should I do?
