In this less I show the following strum pattern: DOWN-DOWN-Up-Down-up…. The duration of the first down stroke lasts twice as long as the rest of the stokes in the pattern. Remember use a metronome and practice “up and down strumming” at different tempos. Practice quarter notes, eighth notes and then strumming 16th notes at 60 80 and 100 beats per minute. -John April 14, 2008
