The Deluxe Edition DVD features the original 103-minute theatrical film. This insightful documentary presents numerous interviews with Jimi Hendrix plus several of his contemporaries, friends and family members including Pete Townshend, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Small Richard, Lou Reed and his father James “Al” Hendrix. Interview footage is interspersed with live performance footage from Monterey Pop, Woodstock, Atlanta Pop Festival, Isle Of Wight Festival and many other concert appearances. This documentary was made three years after Jimi Hendrixs untimely death. At the time it was an example of how a visual biography should be done, but some of the information in it needs revising in the light of new information uncovered over the years.
