no not at all!
They’re pretty much the same except different styles so you can take up whatever one you want first :]
excellent luck with guitar!
no
No, a lot of people get an electric guitar before they play an acoustic. Chords are chords, there is no difference. But, the pressure you apply to the strings, and the way you strum will have to be altered.
If you can play electric, chances are you can pick up an acoustic and play that too. You’ll know just by the way the two instruments feel.
I would probably say that since the electric is a small touchier, it might be better to learn the electric first.
Excellent luck.
No. Acoustic guitar is just a bit harder though, so when you do learn it and then electric, it’s simpler. I like acoustic better though.
I would recomend starting with the electric. Since the neck and strings are thinner it would be simpler to start off.
No that’s not right. I do advise all my student to start on acoustic because I reckon electric sounds better when you know how to play it. The notes, chords, and frets are all the same….plus who wants to hear someone learning guitar with electric…..it sounds better to the people listening when you first start on an acoustic, it’s silent !!
It’s better to do so, personally after I started playing electric as a child I wanted to go back to acoustic…because it’s much simpler to carry around and assemble.
And once you’ve learned acoustic you can play electric, but if you start of with electric you won’t be able to play acoustic well.
the reason behind the theory is you cant hide many mistakes on an acoustic, makes you pay attention to what your doing so when you start playing an electric you’ll already know the fundementals and sound that much better, if you learn the electric first the acoustic may be a bit of a challenge.
