How do I make my acoustic guitar sound like this?
So I’ve been listening to Antonio Banderas play Cancion del Mariachi constantly for the past 3 days. In the movie Desperado he plays a Spanish guitar, right? Or is it an acoustic?
I have an acoustic guitar and I want to tune it in a way so that it sounds just like the gorgeous black one he used in the opening sequence. Can someone suggest an online tutorial or give me some advice, PLEASE?

I believe spanish guitars use brass not nylon strings there are spanish acoustic string you can buy to get that sound. The tuning is slightly the same but has the same effect as a harpischord to a piano effect. Same insturment just differant ways to make noise.
If I’m not mistaken, it’s just a six string acoustic guitar he uses there’s really nothing special about it. Spanish guitar is more of a musical style. You might try a heavier guage (or lighter) string.
Mostly all “Spanish” guitars are nylon acoustic as well as guitars called concert guitars. Classical music, flamenco and other styles are played with the fingertips with strengthened fingernails (polish applied).
Some concert guitars are steel stringed and are arch-topped electric or pick ups are added to an acoustic to enhance the sound and volume. These can be played with a pick or fingerpicks. So, if your guitar is acoustic nylon stringed you can with practice get the same sound. If it is acoustic steel stringed then we’re out of luck.
Classical concert and flamenco guitars cost a lot of money, even the less expensive models as they are hand crafted.
